Prof. Andreas Imhoff, a Visiting Consultant at Adam Vital Hospital in Dubai is a world-renowned Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Surgeon from Germany with more than 40 years of experience.

Prof. Imhoff served from April 1996 until March 2022 as the Director & Chairman of the Department of Sports Medicine at the Technical University Munich. Prof. Andreas Imhoff graduated from Basel University in 1980 and completed his Orthopaedic residency at the Balgrist University Hospital in the University of Zurich under the direction of Prof. Adam Schreiber, Prof. Hans Zollinger, Prof. Christian Gerber between 1983 and 1996. A one-year Exchange Fellowship Program with the University of Pittsburgh (USA) between 1994 to 1995 offered him the opportunity to work at the University’s prestigious Center of Sports Medicine under the direction of top league surgeons such as Prof. Freddie Fu, Prof. Jon J.P. Warner, Prof. Chris Harner and at the Musculoskeletal Research Center under the direction of Professor Savio L.Y. Woo.

He specializes in Complex Knee, Shoulder and Orthopaedic Sports Surgeries having performed more than 20,000 successful procedures on patients from across the globe to date. He has won several International Awards for his unmatchable contribution to the field of Orthopaedics & Traumatology and serves as a global expert and scientific advisor for Orthopaedics Sports Medicine. By association with Adam Vital Hospital-a Specialized Orthopaedic and Neuro Spine Facility in Dubai, Prof. Imhoff brings the best of Orthopaedic medicine to the Gulf region.
